Description

Ah, 80's nostalgia. Giorgio Beverly Hills for Men isn't just a "powerhouse" scent, it's probably THE Powerhouse Scent of the 1980's. This is not for the faint of heart, so proceed carefully.

When the drydown arrives it becomes something along the lines of a combination of Eau Sauvage, Paco Rabanne Pour Homme and Azzaro Pour homme, with some added patchouli, and also some honey to sweeten it a little. Wore it on another day and 2 workmates were asking me what perfume I was using. I was embarrassed as they might give an impression of smelling like flowers in a wake or something. Honestly I said it is Giorgio for men. They said it smelled good. I went to a perfume store and the owner asked what I was wearing. The owner who was younger than me might not be familiar with the classic scent. When I said the name of the frag, she said it smelled good too. Even the sister who was like 10 feet away smelled me.

My favorite note is the gardenia. There is a creaminess there that contrasts beautifully with the chamomile. I’d like to get my hands on a vintage where the oak moss hasn’t been tampered with. are so different from each other that it is hard to believe that they all remind ppl of Giorgio Beverly Hills Giorgio for men. Additional fragrances were produced under the Giorgio Beverly Hills label, but the original fragrance, with its intense floral notes, remains the most popular. Still in production today, the scent recently celebrated its 30th anniversary. The license-holder for Giorgio Beverly Hills fragrances today is Elizabeth Arden. Oh yes, Giorgio! This was popular when I was in High School in the late 80s. A loud, floral, fruity bomb, much different and louder/stronger than the fruity- florals of today. I remember the advertising for this, it wasn't sold in regular stores at first so you really had to have money and access to get your hands on this.

Patchouli and honey bomb with some aldehydes enhancing the already formidable projection. All-day longevity. Priced to sell and worth every penny for lovers of old school 80s scents. If you can withstand the blast, you'll be addicted. The spicy and sweet balance is unlike anything I've experienced before. There does come a point where the honey/patchouli cloud finally retreats a bit, which is when you can start to catch hints of cinnamon, vanilla, even some citrus. But the glowing coals of the initial patchouli and honey continue to burn throughout.I remember when G. was popular and expensive, too. Now it's very affordable. Some reviewers have mentioned how G. is emblematic of the 80's. Very true, and yet G. has something to offer to the current generation of frag lovers. I also have a tiny 7,5ml bottle of pure parfume which is one of the most precious items in my collection and all i can say: it can´t get better than that! More intense, ONE drop will last for days! It is still heavy on the tuberose, but i feel that the peach is more concentrated here and thatś why it is even smoother than the EDT. Gosh, i got very emotional, and have tears in my eyes now, literally! Tears of joy!
