The soup maker also features a pause function which allows you to remove the lid part way through the cooking cycle, add herbs, spices or seasoning and when you reapply the lid the program will remember the time that is left and finish the cooking cycle. You can stop the program to add some extra seasoning, and the machine will pause the soup-making process. I have that exact same soup maker and absolutely love using it especially now that the weathers gone a bit colder.

The soup making programme lasts for 21 minutes; some users lament the fact that you cannot set the time yourself – the chunky soup programme lasts 28 minutes. Unfortunately, the jug isn’t dishwasher safe – but given that it has a self-cleaning function, washing it up shouldn’t feel like too much of a chore. I am hoping to introduce an automatic serving adjustment to all my recipes very soon so it will make it much easier for you to recalculate.It only takes as little as 25 minutes to prepare a meal of 4 servings, so you can free up more time for your loved ones while still making delicious meals. Although this model by Tefal has a smaller capacity than the others, it is still suitable for a family of 3 or 4. This means you can pop in the ingredients that need frying, saute them and then add your remaining soup ingredients.
